Not long ago I was invited as part of the VIP Experience to the Grosvenor Casino Bournemouth together with a bunch of lovely Bournemouth Bloggers. Honestly, gambling isn’t really my thing, I literally have no idea how to play these games, however, this opportunity sounded like a nice experience that I did not want to miss. I am so glad I was able to be a part of it because I found out so many interesting facts about the casino that I did not know before.
So, let me tell you more about the event itself.
From the moment we walked into the casino, to the moment we left, Grosvenor casino team made sure that we were in the best hands at all times and that we received the best VIP experience ever.
First of all, we were greeted by Molly, the casino’s sales & events manager, who took us to the sports bar where we were able to choose any drink we wanted. Off course more or less all of us picked a cocktail. Bartenders did an amazing job and we were already getting in the right mood!!!
This was our pit stop where we learned a new fact about the casino – the casino is not only a place for gambling but also a place where you can watch your favourite sports games live or enjoy 2for1 cocktails every day from 6-8pm & 10pm-12am. The casino is also part of the Gamble Aware Initiative. The staff really cares about people coming into the casino, making a profit is not their primary focus. Thumbs up for casino!!
After the drink, we had a little tour around the casino, and then it was a dinner time.
So, the 2nd pit stop was the restaurant – did you know that you can come to the casino just for a nice meal? And gambling is not a must! I was so surprised that this casino is so welcoming to everyone, not only to gamblers.
Once we have sat down at the table, we were offered another drink. Casino’s lovely staff kept an eye on us to make sure we are having the best time. So, you can imagine, it was cocktail time again!
Their food selection is vast, a variety of contemporary, quality cuisines served in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and also very affordable. For my starter, I had gone for the spicy tomato & cheese garlic bread. Honestly, I was already full after this, the portion was so large.
For my main course, I had ordered their popular Mushroom and Stilton-topped 8oz Rump Steak. It was absolutely delicious!!
When the dinner was over, it was time for our ‘learn to play’ session. We were shown how to play roulette and blackjack. The croupier has tried really hard to teach us how to play these games, however, I think most of us are total newbies to this, and it was just loads of laughs, not really sure if we are now 100% confident to actually play this for real. I definitely understand the basics now, but still, a lot to learn.
I really enjoyed my time in the Grosvenor Casino Bournemouth and will definitely come back again. If nothing else, at least for a drink or a meal. Don’t forget they have a happy hour every day and the cocktails are lush, plus free parking!!!
